Signature Events

Award of Distinction

Every year the college presents the Award of Distinction to honor individuals whose contributions and achievements have positively impacted our communities, advanced science and education or enhanced the college’s ability to serve California and the world.

Nominations are now open for Award of Distinction 2025. This event recognizes the accomplishments of outstanding alumni, young alumni, friends, faculty, emeriti faculty and staff. 

Please save the date for our event which will take place on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. Registration for the event will be available in August 2025.

Campaign Celebration

Join us on October 17, 2024 for an evening of celebration as we toast to the success of our Expect Greater Comprehensive Campaign and express our gratitude to the donors who made this possible. Experience the college's mission in motion through interactive research showcases and enjoy the beauty of the Good Life Garden at the Robert Mondavi Institute. Registration for this event is now closed. 
 

Student Scholarship and Fellowship Celebration

We host this event each year to recognize the power that philanthropic gifts have for our students and to recognize the donors that make our scholarships and fellowships possible. During the event, students have the opportunity to meet and network with donors to the college, other student recipients, as well as faculty and staff.

Join us on April 24, 2025 at this year's reception celebrating college scholarship and fellowship students and their benefactors who make these awards possible. Registration for this event is open through April 22.

Endowment Gratitude Celebration

Join us for a new special program honoring the generous benefactors who support our college’s endowments on March 12, 2025. This inspiring evening will recognize the profound impact these gifts in support of endowed chairs and professorships positions, as well as endowed funds for continuous departmental support, have on our college, our students, and our future. Registration for this event is open through March 6. 

Coffee & Conversations

Join us for a virtual coffee chats on the latest news and updates with our CA&ES Department Chairs! Grab your favorite cozy beverage and get a front row seat to hear updates on groundbreaking research and how undergraduate students are being supported to follow your footsteps in addressing some of the world's most pressing challenges. After a brief presentation, Department Chairs will open the floor to your questions ending with by a raffle of fun UC Davis swag to share your Aggie pride!

Picnic Day: Donuts with the Dean

Friends, families and the CA&ES community are invited to join us this Picnic Day for Donuts with Dean Helene Dillard! This casual event will help you kick-off your Picnic Day before you enjoy the parade. The parade grandstands are a short 2 minute walk from our location.

All are welcome. RSVP to let us know you're coming by April 10.
